Debbie Argue - After 11 years in cultural heritage management with a state government department, I have just commenced a PhD at the Australian National University, focusing on human evolution.
Deborah Arthur - I am a Heritage Officer in the Heritage Office, NSW Department of Planning.
Val Attenbrow - Principal Research Scientist (Archaeologist), Anthropology Unit, Research Branch, Australian Museum, Sydney. My primary role is to undertake archaeological research into issues relating to Australian Aboriginal people, but I have many other responsibilities at the Museum. I provide ideas and information for proposed exhibitions, which sometimes include the results of my research projects; I contribute to commercial projects undertaken by archaeologists and exhibitions staff in Australian Museum Business Services, as well as answer public enquiries, especially those relating to the life and material culture of Australian Aboriginal people in the distant past. David Guilfoyle - I have spent the last four years working as an archaeologist in the United States. I returned home in 2004 to work as a researcher with the Cultural Heritage Division, Department of Environment and Conservation (NSW). I am currently working as the Project Coordinator for the Restoring Connections Project – exploring ways for more effective (and culturally appropriate) involvement of Indigenous people in Natural Resource Management (NRM) along the South Coast of W.A.

Les Hazell - I am presently a student, undertaking postgraduate research for a Master of Arts (Archaeology) degree at Latrobe University, Bundoora, Victoria. Prior to commencing this program, I held a position as a sessional lecturer and tutor in Cultural Heritage Management.
Fiona Hook - Managing Director/Principal Archaeologist with Archae-aus Pty Ltd. Archae-aus specialises in north-western Australian Indigenous terrestrial archaeology.
Paul Irish - I work as a consultant archaeologist dealing with Aboriginal archaeology and run my own jobs as well as working for other consultants. I have a strong interest in Aboriginal history and have run historical research programs as well as doing research in my own time. I have also worked for the NSW National Parks & Wildlife Service and the NSW Aboriginal Land Council.
Wayne Johnson - Archaeologist (& Heritage Manager), Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority, & lecturer in the course Archaeology of Modern Times at Sydney University. The Authority owns and controls much of, as the name suggests, the foreshore of Sydney Harbour (mainly south side) from the Opera House to Balmain. This area includes The Rocks, site of the initial white settlement in Australia, and various bays such as Darling Harbour where maritime industries have been carried out for the last couple of hundred years. Systematic archaeological excavations have been undertaken in the area for the past 25 years. Although European settlement has largely removed evidence of Indigenous occupation, from time to time we do get evidence of pre-contact and early contact material.
Ian Lilley - I am an Associate Professor and Reader with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies Unit, University of Queensland. I am also Secretary of the World Archaeological Congress, on the Executive of the Indo-Pacific Prehistory Association and a past President and Secretary of the Australian Archaeological Association.
Thomas H. (Tom) Loy - It is with deep sadness and regret that the archaeological community at the University of Queensland advises of the premature passing of Dr Thomas H. Loy in October 2005. Tom was a very highly-regarded and well-respected member of our community and a wonderful inspiration to all who had the opportunity to cross his path. His presence will be sorely missed. His passing represents a considerable loss to the archaeological community and beyond. At the time of his death, Tom was a Senior Lecturer, School of Social Science, University of Queensland.
