Tas: Paradise Probation Station Tour


Event Details


The Paradise Probation Station operated between 1845 and 1847. After the closure of the probation station at Buckland in 1844, the buildings were dismantled and relocated to the site of the Paradise Probation Station at Orford. This tour will be conducted by the East Coast Heritage Museum curator and historian Maureen Martin Ferris. Places are limited to 20 and due to the rough terrain, it is advised that this tour is not suitable for those under the age of 16 or those who have mobility constraints

When: Wednesday 24 May, 10am – 12noon

Where: Meet at the Convict Trail, Orford, near the bridge

Cost: $10 per person
