SA: Backyard Archaeology at Marble Hill

Marble Hill was gutted by fire in 1955 and volunteers, visitors and vandals alike have sifted through the rubble ever since, looking for Lady George’s jewellery and other treasures lost in the ashes. See recent finds, hear garden historian, Trevor Nottle, and others talk about old tools, bottles and china.

See displays of artefacts recently found in the Ruins, as well as those recovered by the National Trust.

Memorabilia collectors will identify and discuss these and other finds:
Sat 7th May – Old garden tools and bottles – Trevor Nottle
Sun 8th May – Old tiles and china
