NSW: Sherds vs Words

The University of Sydney’s Gaius Gracchus Society (Ancient History Society) and Archaeology Society are reviving the ‘Sherds vs Words debate’, which asks both departments the fundamental question: What provides the most informative information on the human past: material remains or written remains?

Pitting lecturers from archaeology and ancient history against one another in an evening that is sure to be the physical realisation of the internal struggle going on in the minds of every cross faculty student, this debate will be a night of intense discussion, laughter, food and wine.
