NSW: Toddler Tunes Special: Yugambeh Archaeology and Heritage Day


Event Details


Virtus Heritage and Pottsville Beach Neighbourhood Centre present a National Archaeology Week event.

Entertainment: Local Yugambeh man Magpie will open the event with music and dancing.

Activities:

  1. Kites or planes will be made from craft paper, with pictures to be coloured in depicting various cultures of the world.
  2. Bracelets will be made from bush vine, with Magpie facilitating this activity.
  3. Sandpit dig. Children will dig for ‘artefacts’ in the sandpit under the guidance of Virtus Heritage Principal Archaeologist Mary-Jean Sutton and Senior Archaeologist Julian Travaglia.
