Speakers: Jillian Comber (Comber Consultants) and Pamela Kottaras (EMM)
Work on the North West Rail Link has uncovered the remains of an early 19th century pub – the White Hart Inn at Kellyville. Its foundations were uncovered by archaeologists near the intersection of Old Windsor and Windsor roads during heritage work for the skytrain section of the North West Rail Link. This important site will now be protected, with construction of the North West Rail Link to be modified as a result.
Excavation Director Jillian Comber and Excavation Co-director Pamela Kottaras will present on the history and discovery of the inn. Artefacts from the excavation will also be on display throughout the week at the North West Rail Link’s Community Information Centre.
Two sessions are available; at 3pm and 6pm. Bookings are essential as places are limited. To register your interest please email email@example.com by 16 May.
