RPS and the Newcastle Maritime Museum present a double feature; giving a snapshot of the archaeology of Southeast Asia, and Newcastle.  Join local archaeologist Tessa Boer-Mah for one or both!

Ancient Civilisations of Southeast Asia
Welcome to the Ancient Civilisations of Southeast Asia, this talk will outline some of the major developments of civilisations on our door step. Be transported back in time to the land of princesses and princes and the early transformations of human society. Please note talk will include images of human skeletal material.

Re-shaping the Newcastle Foreshore
The Port History is fascinating and forms a major part of Newcastle’s development. This talk will cover the port history and modification of the foreshore as land use changed, it will go through the historical and archaeological evidence of these changes found thus far and give a snapshot of the future, yes, there is more archaeology to be found!
