Are you keen to learn about the archaeology and history of Wollongong?

Biosis is participating in National Archaeology Week and invites the people of Wollongong to hear about the fascinating results of a historical archaeological excavation that took place at the corner of Crown and Burelli Streets, beneath the former Dwyer’s car yard site.

We will discuss what archaeology is, the history of the site and the archaeology encountered.  There will be historical artefacts on hand for people to see, along with some examples of the latest technology used by archaeologists in conducting excavations and research
